Have Detectors, Will Travel!

Though we are based in San Francisco, our services extend as far south as Santa Cruz and as far north as northern Mendocino County, reaching east to Nevada. We specialize in lost item recovery and offer metal detector rentals for treasure hunters and ring finders in these areas.

Interested in renting a detector?

If you're interested in learning how to metal detect or would like to use a good machine without having to BUY a crappy one on Amazon, look no further. Bay Area Bleepers may be able to help.
Currently, we have one detector available for rent - a first generation Nokta Makro Simplex+. This is an excellent machine for a beginner to moderate level user. It is a single frequency machine making it great for parks, yards, woodlands and more.

If you've lost an item and would like to try to find it yourself, or if you just want to play around with a detector at your local park, you can rent our Simplex+ for just $50 a day. Additional coils - 9.5" and 13.5" are also available for rent for an additional $10 per day.

The rental must be done by credit/debit card and if the machine is not returned on time an additional $100 per day will be added to your bill. Failure to return the machine will result in a charge for the full replacement value of the machine and a police report.
